Welcome to Glasgow Independent Schools

 

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to our district webpage. As I begin my second year as your superintendent, I am confident that our district is making considerable strides to becoming an even more effective and imposing school system for our students and all those that are employed within it.

 

Our primary objective is to afford every student a safe and orderly environment where learning is of the highest priority. We must continue to nurture, guide, and lead our students in an effort to fully prepare them for future challenges and endeavors. 

 

You will find both of our elementary schools are staffed with those that truly make a positive impact upon student achievement and character development. Our middle school continues to shine with other top performing middle schools around the state in terms of standardized test results and student performance in general.   The excitement surrounding our new $23 million construction and renovation of our high school continues to grow as we embrace its’ opening in the fall of 2012. I feel confident in each of our four building principals as they set the tone for the success of their respective buildings.

 

Our board of education is committed to moving our district to greater heights in the areas of academics, student experiences outside the classroom, facility management, continuing professional development for our staff and financial responsibility.
