Marketing Program at GHS Marketing

The Marketing Program at GHS gives students an exposure to careers in the business and marketing fields. Students start the program during their freshmen year by enrolling in Principles of Marketing.  Following their freshmen year, they can branch into either of the two areas through a Career Pathway in Accounting or Marketing.  Completing of a Career Pathway will help students transition into collegiate level courses and have a better focus on their specific business major.

GHS To Offer HOSA Club to Students Health

GHS will offer a student HOSA Club (Health Occupation Students of America) to students who are interested in seeking a career in the health field.  Any student interested in joining HOSA should attend the student interest meeting on Friday, January 19th when announced.

Improving Their Future…One Code at a Time GHS Crest

Beginning this school year, Glasgow High School began offering the new AP Computer Science Principles course. Currently there are 22 students enrolled in the class. However, that number is expected to increase in the coming years. One factor leading to this expected increase is a freshmen advisory enrichment course known as Accelerated Computer Science Fundamentals (ACSF). Code.org created the lessons utilized in the ACSF course. As mentioned on their website, Code.org is a non-profit organization dedicated to expanding access to computer science.

Each year, three deserving high school juniors from the Farmers RECC service area are awarded expense‑paid trips to Washington, D.C. as participants in the 2018 Rural Electric Washington Youth Tour Program sponsored jointly by Farmers RECC and the Kentucky Association of Electric Cooperatives.
