View Events/Assignments for 
Freshman English will cover several units.  Students will need to take notes, be organized, ask questions, and stay focused to succeed. Much of the course work is designed using lessons from Laying the Foundation as models. Students  will still be expected to keep track of their assignments, turn in work on time, bring materials to class, and begin learning more advanced approaches to texts. This will definitely be an exciting year!!

  • Applying Elements of Literary Analysis
  • Introduction to Argumentative Writing and Analysis
  • Applying Argumentative Writing and Analysis
  • Synthesizing Information for Specific Purposes
  • Reading Shakespeare
