SBDM Meeting

Minutes October 28 2009, @ 4:00 p.m.

Present: Teachers: Lori Bunche, Mary Fye, Kim Harrison, Lou Ann Riley

Parents: Melissa Dennison, Joan Norris, Meg Travis

I. Opening Business

A. The Agenda was approved as presented.

B. The minutes of July 15, 2009 were approved as read.

C. Good News Report: Mrs. Fye reported on the Broyhill Leadership conference.

II. Student Achievement

A. The Council reviewed 2009/2010 College Readiness Test reports.

B. The Council discussed priority needs based on standardized test results.

III. Budget Report: The GHS Budget Report was approved by consensus.

IV. Consultation: The Council went into Closed Session for the purpose of consultation. Following the closed session, it was announced that the Council approved by consensus the following: Head Baseball Coach; Volunteer Assistant Softball Coach. The Principal shall forward the recommendations to the Superintendent for completion of the hiring process.

IV: Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at approximately 5:00 p.m. The next regular meeting shall be December 1, 2009at 4:00 p.m.
