Supplementary materials to meet individual student needs

Supplementary Activities
One hour-one day each week a Guidance Counselor from the student's regular school comes to HVLC to counsel with students.

Service Learning Component: Each day our students complete service at school and school grounds. This consists of minor cleaning chores or beautification of our campus.

Guest Speakers: Guest speakers from our community speak with students concerning various topics, such as the judicial system, job- related skills including developing a resume, job applications, interview skills, earning a drivers license, economics such as budgeting and banking, insurance, taxes, purchasing vs. leasing or renting, etc., as well as daily living skills to better prepare them for adulthood.
