Christmas Card Art Contest-Highland Winners

The word art written in red, blue, and yellow/green.Highland students grades 2nd-5th recently participated in an exciting art contest.  Students were asked to draw and color a Christmas card.  The winners from Highland will be sent to the Glasgow Board of Eduation where they will compete with the best of South Green Elementary. National Beta Winners Recognized HES Beta Students Honored at GIS Board Meeting

Highland Elementary Beta students were recognized at the September 11, 2017 GIS Board meeting for their outstanding accomplishments at the National Jr. Beta Convention in Orlando, FL. in June.   HES received 1st place in the Group Talent competition and CJ Aubin placed 3rd in sketching.

Matt Shepherd Honored by GIS Board Matt Shepherd -KMEA 3rd District Elementary Music Teacher of the Year

Matthew Shepherd, music teacher at Highland Elementary was recognized at the September 11, 2017 GIS Board meeting.   Mr. Shepherd was recently selected as the KMEA 3rd District Elementary Music Teacher of the Year.  Glasgow Independent School District is very proud of this honor for Mr. Shepherd.
